About the garden

A small game about patient light

Solwisp turns the familiar rhythm of an incremental game into a peaceful solar garden where every purchase has a visible place in the world.

The idea

The Sunpath begins dim and quiet. A player restores it by gathering light, inviting unusual helpers, and carrying warmth through changing biomes. Fireflies drift into the sky, Lantern Blooms take root, and later structures transform the garden into a miniature landscape of clouds, prisms, wells, towers, and archives.

Progress is designed to feel legible. Helpers are not only numbers in a list: each one visibly joins the scene. Milestones, abilities, Shade Knots, research, and Dawn resets create decisions without turning the garden into a stressful checklist.

Original by design

Solwisp is inspired by the broad incremental-game tradition: active taps accelerate progress, helpers continue the work, and a reset can make the next journey stronger. Its terminology, balance, characters, biomes, illustrations, and writing are original to this garden.

The game avoids randomized equipment, competitive pressure, purchases, and social obligations. It is safe for work and intended for a general audience aged 13 and over, but it is not specifically directed at children.

Private-first and offline-friendly

Game progress stays in the player's browser. Solwisp autosaves locally, supports save-file import and export, and can simulate up to eight hours of helper progress after a player returns. There is no account requirement and no cloud profile in the current version.
